If i said that 150 people turned up to celebrate Bella Swan's birthday from Twilight... no, not the actual actress but the fictional character... you would call the asylum and have me locked up, right? wrong... it happened. Hang your heads in shame, people of Port Angeles.

A Darker Truth Part II

The Vampire Cafe spotted this - Hollywood's ten most powerful vampires.

Fangoria does its review of "Daybreakers" here.

Bloody Disgusting spotted this - a 25th anniversary "Monster Squad" Blu ray dvd release.

The Monster Squad: 25th Anniversary Edition Synopsis: Count Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, the Wolfman, the Mummy and the Gillman - adjourn to earth in search of a powerful amulet that will grant them power to rule the world. However, a bunch of kids regarded by their peers as losers and outsiders uncover the devious plan and prepare for a counter strike. Now, our heroes - the Monster Squad - are the only ones daring to stand in their way. The Blu-ray Disc is presented in 1080P High Definition 16x9 Widescreen and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Blu-ray Disc special features include a five-part retrospective featurette Monster Squad Forever!, a classic interview with the Monster himself A Conversation with Frankenstein, deleted scenes, an animated storyboard sequence and more!

ok, this... this is just silly. The Examiner has a piece titled "Is Twilight to blame for vampire inspired crimes?" Now, while many of us agree that Twilight is a horrible crime in itself, to suggest beatings and stabbings are linked to the film...? There is a lovely quote from christwire.org in the piece, that has to be read to be believed!

The Faster Times has a piece called "Blood, Religion and Vampire Evolution"

Added another link to the collection over there >>>
VampireNews.com - nothing to do with me, but they have quite a lot of daily content.

ahh... another entry into the pathetic Twilight bandwagon jumping-on competition. This time its a documentary - suitably titled "Twilight : The Documentary" where we get to see Forks, Washington (something Ms Meyer never did, it was googled) and a few annoyed residents. I've pulled the below piece from the article, so we can all get a taste of this thrilling documentary.

So how stupid is Twilight In Forks? Thoroughly, unrelentingly stupid. From MTV:

You'll see shots of the forest and some shots of signs about vampires," explained Brown, who used high-def cameras to capture the area's gorgeous rain-forest-like landscape. "You'll meet a real-life Bella and a real-life Alice that are in Forks."

"There's a real-life Bella working at the Fork's Outfitters in Forks," marveled Brown

Jesus. If the fact that a person with the same first name as a character in Twilight lives in the town where Twilight is set "marvels" Jason Brown, imagine how mesmerized he'll be when a Forks teenager douses himself in body glitter, pops in a set of fake fangs, and tells Brown, "I am a romantic sparkly vampire! I love my human girlfriend so much! Now give me your wallet, and your car keys or you'll ruin our perfect love!"

Onto better things now... the second webisode for "Vampire Diaries : A Darker Truth" is here.
