Beyond the Rave limited edition from Hammer & much more

Now this is better, its been quiet for far too long on the news front! Get stuck in folks, lots to see below.

Vampire Cafe stuff first tonight. Ten VampireVacations is the piece, well worth a read for planning your hols!

The Cafe also has a bundle of Twilight bits and pieces around New Moon and the actors.

Vampire Cafe also has some news regarding True Blood Season III, and some of the roles that are to be filled.

Bloody Disgusting has news that "Dead Cert" has begun filming. Moviehouse Entertainment announced a new title for sale at next month's American Film Market. Starring Craig Fairbrass (White Noise 2) and Billy Murray (Doghouse), director Steve Lawson's Dead Cert, which follows a gang of tough London gangsters get more than they bargained for when a group of businessmen make an offer to buy their club, the Inferno. They turn out to be nothing less than Vampires wanting their land back and turn viciously on the gangsters when their demands are not met.

Dread Central has news that "Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency" got off to a great start, selling out to distributors with its first issue.



This is undoubtedly the big news of the night. "Beyond the Rave" was a 2008 Hammer production, and they have released a limited edition on region 2 dvd. Full details are here at dread central.

30 Days of Night sequel confirmed, Stan Helsing clips

Looks like there could be some good stuff tonight, glancing through things earlier... so here we go.

Competition first... Gabrielle Faust has teamed up with Obscuria.com, a steampunk/goth shop with $50 of shopping up for grabs!

Gabrielle also spotted a couple of other things of interest. First is a new TV advert for "The Vampire's Assistant"

The first clips from "Stan Helsing" are out... bloodydisgusting.com spotted these, and has 5 clips to view.

BloodyDisgusting also has the official announcement that the 30 Days of Night : Dark Days film is

Vinny Jones battles vampires!

Ok, here we are back from the festival. Out of the 21 films we saw over the 4 days, 7 were vampire films, and all were at least average, with many of them falling into the good category. Taliesin will be doing his report here, and there may well be a podcast at some point.

Lets start here tonight... i'll try and go back a few days and put anything major in the update.

The Makers Song trilogy to be film?

In addition to the Eternal Vigilance site, Gabreille Faust does some writing for the Examiner... today she has a piece on potential plots for True Blood Season III

Near Dark is coming on Blu-Ray, although with a distint lack of extras by the sounds of it. Spotted by Vampire Cafe, read about it here.

Big news of the night, courtest of Vampire Cafe again. It looks like Disney is stepping into the Vampire film market, after buying up website domain names for the trilogy of books from "The Makers Song" by Adrian Phoenix.

A week or so ago there were a bunch of reports that "Dracula's Cellar" had been found. Now the guy that said that, says "oops, maybe not". or something similar, at least.

Now this is worth a read. Thesimon.com has a list of in-development stuff for american TV involving vampires... some of it seems quite strange, even for american TV so i wouldnt be surprised if any or all of these got canned before seeing the light of day.

True Blood Season I finally arrived on mainstream UK TV yesterday (yes, you Americans dont know how lucky you are having season II already finished!) Even one of our "upper class" newspapers was impressed!
