  1. I am obviously getting too long in the tooth (pardon the pun). From the piece on vampire:

the concept, if not the title, sounds pretty interesting. A sensitive vampire who prefers suicidal women, – but not too sensitive. He’s obviously still killing them. Or giving them a new life... In any case, it’s going to be fabulous to see a new vampire movie out there; not just some re-make, or a book brought to the big screen.

and that isn't the baseline premise of Graveyard Shift?

Though I do agree that it will be fabulous to get another vampire movie and, being Japanese, it ought to have some interesting quirks

  2. Sherlock Holmes: Seance for a Vampire looks promising because it's written by Fred Saberhagen who is the author of the wonderful VLAD TAPES etc...from the synopsis it's a carry on from that story, with Saberhagen's own Dracula! Woot!

  3. Thanks Gabriel, Taliesin... at least the Vampire concept is one that hasnt been used too often... hey, at least its not a high school vampire drama!

I take it that VLAD TAPES is something well worth getting hold of gabriel?

  4. The Vlad Tapes is good, but it's the last in the Dracula Series, this Sherlock Holmes Dracula story is actually a re-issue and not the only story featuring Sherlock Holmes:

    Fred Saberhagen Vlad Tepes series:

    The Dracula Tape (1975)
    The Holmes-Dracula File (1978)
An Old Friend of the Family (1979)
    Thorn (1980)
    Dominion (1982)
    A Matter of Taste (1990)
    A Question of Time (1992)
    Seance for a Vampire (1994)
A Sharpness on the Neck (1996)
    The Vlad Tapes (2000)

And yes they are enjoyable stories.
