The slightest tweak in history makes all the difference its outcome…
Tudor England. It is during the reign of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. As her time in power nears an end, Anne is greatly disheartened by the false accusations of adultery, high treason and incest she is arrested for, and the cold-heartedness of her father for his lack of defense in her honor. Upon her death, she vows revenge on those who have wronged her, and the simple change of her death sentence from beheading to hanging grants her the opportunity to execute her wish on those who betrayed her.
Unknown forces of inconceivable dark magic abounds. Anne discovers she has risen from her grave because of her denouncement of God just moments before her hanging, and resurrects two others from their untimely, wrongful deaths--her brother, George, and her favorite court musician and dear friend, Mark Smeaton. This unlikely trio will drive Whitehall Palace to madness, bringing those closest to Anne to their knees, begging for mercy and forgiveness.
Once Anne executes her justice among those who failed her, the last and final question will be whether Anne will finally have peace, or find comfort in haunting England forever.

Arlene Russo has followed up her Vampire Nation book with a new release..."The Real Twilight"
“For real vampires there is no hype, no fad, it is a destiny that calls them, it is something in their blood”
With the release of the TWILIGHT novels and the subsequent films vampire mania has swept the country. Yet they are fiction. What about the real thing? ARLENE RUSSO, the UK’s foremost vampire expert and founder of Bite Me magazine, has interviewed dozens of real-life creatures of the night for this book about the modern day vampire.
Alongside these interviews Arlene has talked to some of the world’s great Dracula scholars about the history of the vampire (for example the legend of Robin Hood may be based on a vampire)
Working from the premise that vampires do exist she looks at the nature of their appeal concluding that because the vampire embodies feelings of romance, mystery and power in a cold and computerised world we are drawn to them. Also as our culture become ever more technological so the vampire’s appeal can only grow. Equally intriguing in a society obsessed with looks and beauty the vampire doesn’t age but remains frozen at it most youthful. Finally we are drawn to the idea of living forever which would allow us to do all those things we ever wanted but didn’t have time for whether it be travel the world or learn several languages.
Arlene dispels myths including the one that vampires are heartless predators. In fact “true vampires do not need to kill at all and instead cultivate a relationship with their donor, thus ensuring a regular supply of blood”. Nor are they afraid of the sun or garlic. And they don’t bite their victims …
Combining anecdotes, personal experiences and research THE REAL TWILIGHT is an exhaustive study of true vampires and every aspect of their culture.

It is 1857, and Abner Marsh is a remarkably ugly man — but the best steamboat man on the river. When the pale Joshua approaches him with a partnership and enough money to build the boat of his dreams, it seems too good to be true. But Joshua is a mystery of a partner, a man who keeps strange hours and stranger friends. It’s only a matter of time before Abner begins to wonder where the FEVRE DREAM is heading, and if it may turn out to be a nightmare, after all. Each issue of this stunning full-color epic is illustrated by Rafa Lopez, an artist whose skilled line captures every moonlit drop of blood in delicious detail. Adapted by the Hugo-nominated author Daniel Abraham, this version of FEVRE DREAM stays faithful to Martin’s original dark vision, while bringing the torture and joy of his vampires to almost-human life.

BloodyDisgusting has the poster for what looks like being a vamp film... Prowl. (Thanks to Taliesin for this)
From the official (after dark) site: Prowl: This is the first one we shot and director Patrik Syverson is great and super-talented. I like the movie. If you saw Rovdyr (Manhunt), it's got a European feel to it. Here he's created a vampire subculture that we haven't seen before. He did it in a raw, European style. It's not glitzy and overdone. He threw in a nice twist. It turned out very well and I like it because it's different than the other seven films."
