The Night Eternal
Seriously, i hate the media's obsession with vampire diaries. Ok, so its quite good, but does every single google alert on anything to do with vampires have to be filled with nothing but vampire diaries quotes and fluff?
So. This is the only non-vampire diaries story out there today... just one book release.
The third book in The Strain Trilogy is approaching release, due out 25th october. The Night Eternal is by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan.

Underworld Awakening to show on IMAX, Vampire Diaries clips and news
First, some hopeful news... the horrible vampire pics of Johnny Depp posted yesterday, sounds like they may only be that way to help the CGI and animators for the film. Depp says he looks very different in the film here.

Tara Duncan, The Moth Diaries, Vamperifica
Music news first... a new vampire video.
Tokyo singer, songwriter and now current resident of NYC, Mio Soul, announces her Debut EP titled “IN MY SKIN” will be released later this year via MANAFEST VISION MEDIA LLC.
Mio Soul reveals that her EP is an account of experiences she’s dealt with as a woman, artist, and foreigner in the “Big City of Dreams.” The former biologist and cheerleader turned songstress mentions the title is truly a reflection of the reality that is going inside of her.
The announcement comes packaged with a vampire(esque) video for her song "I Wish." The song is a Gil Scott Heron inspired instrumental produced by MeccaGodZilla and features one of Japan's brightest guitar heroes, Kappa Tanabe. Mio Soul gives us a dose of neo soulistic flair to an uptempo rhythm showcasing one of her many, song writing styles.

An American spy on assignment in Romania stumbles upon a dark secret that the inhabitants of the region have hidden for centuries. The lesser of two evils is questioned when he infiltrates a small unit of German SS soldiers who encounter a mysterious enemy while fighting partisans in the Carpathian Mountains... vampires.
